Striker x Kadie Puppies Week 6
Tory’s 12 April Fools are one year old today, while back in Orford Kadie’s 12 Starry Nights are just 6 weeks old, what a comparison!
During the past week the puppies have started going outside. At the beginning this is just an introduction to the idea of outside versus inside and getting used to new sights, smells, sounds, and textures under their feet. In the coming week will be working more toward the early idea of doing their business outside after they eat.
The puppies are really getting their personalities in and are playing with toys and each other very well.
The puppies had some additional visits this week which went well. We can’t thank everyone enough for coming to socialize with the puppies at this age. We hope that you have all had fun seeing them. The puppies will be very changed when you see them at pick up!
Our Starry Nights are certainly transforming and growing into their bodies at this point. This week we started stacking the puppies on the grooming table and seeing how they look. At this point the puppies are just being handled and getting used to being stacked and getting up on the grooming table. We are not really looking too much at how the individual puppies appear stacked since at this very early stage they are new to the idea of stacking and don’t always appear their best. This set of puppies was actually a bit more cooperative than we typically see at this age, with the exception of some over stretched out necks, which is great and there are some lookers. We have posted the six week stacks in the photo gallery for you to see. We will continue stacking and posting photos over the next couple weeks as we evaluate each of the puppies.
We also got some special packages in the mail today (and not the special packages that make the FedEx people giggle at either). Nope, these special packages have to do with a little surprise we have for everyone when they come to pick up their puppy. It’s a surprise!

They are sure growing up strong and healthy! Are you prepared to see them go? That must be a day of very mixed emotions!

Always is, but we know they are going to great families and we will see many of them back for ear gluing, grooming, and boarding.
