Striker x Kadie Puppies Week 3
The puppies are really starting to play and be silly now. They are playing bitey face and making all sorts of noises. It’s very entertaining to watch.

They all have their eyes open now. Red RR girl and Brown/Yellow boy fought it out for the first set of fully opened eyes, Red RR won by a hair. Puppy teeth are starting to come in. Dark Blue boy was the first to climb the short door to the whelping box prompting us to switch to the tall door. They are getting so big that we now need to use two temporary bins for the few minutes when we are cleaning the whelping box instead of just one.

Today we moved the whelping box from its location in the master bedroom to the dining room where it will remain for the rest of the puppies 8 weeks with us. We move the puppies at the three week point as we get ready to ween them and transition them to food.

We will give the puppies their first mush meal tomorrow. The location in the dining room gives us easy access to begin putting the puppies outside after they eat which helps to introduce and encourage house training.

We are expecting our fist visitors to see the puppies starting this weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone again. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

We hope everyone got the notice about the winning litter theme. We are very happy to call our 2009 Striker x Kadie litter our Starry Night pups. If you are interested, you can enter for a chance to win a brand new FURminator in our latest give away.

OMG Rose! How do you get anything else done during the day? I would just lose myself with those beautiful pups! Don’t you just love to watch them? It is better than any soap opera just watching them interact. I wish you could hook up a nanny cam so we could log on and watch the pups playing during the day. I would rather watch that then anything on tv!
They are gorgeous and growing up so fast – looking healthy and happy!
